2014
CIPD Galway Clayton Hotel
The Smart HR team attended the 1st CIPD event of the new season which was held in the Clayton Hotel.
There was a big turnout for this event and it always wonderful to network with such a great group of professionals. We enjoyed catching up with people and also meeting new members of CIPD.
The theme for the evening was “Building Organizational Effectiveness; Sustaining Competitiveness”. under the Guest speaker Neil O’Brien – business coach and founder of Time to Fly – shared his insights on how to create a “great day” with a focus on an individual’s mental fitness, the self-worth and the actions you can take to push your-self out of your comfort zone. We all need to get out of our comfort zone so his talk was very interesting at encouraging you to do so.
Neil’s talk was highly interactive and thought provoking, getting everyone to think about mood management, self-discipline, changing or breaking habits and having resilience.
